# Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast) (Text with EEA relevance), Division 4: The staff responsible for inspection shall have:

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

sound technical and vocational training,
satisfactory knowledge of the requirements of the tests they carry out and adequate experience of such tests,
the ability to draw up the certificates, records and reports required to authenticate the performance of the tests.
