This Appendix does not apply to type-approvals granted in accordance with UNECE Regulations listed in Annex IV, as the relevant arrangements of approval marks are provided for in the respective UNECE Regulations. However, this Appendix applies to EC component and separate technical unit type-approvals granted under Regulation (EC) No 661/2009 which are based on UNECE Regulations (i.e. components or separate technical units incorporating new technologies). In this case, the following arrangement of markings is applied:
