"text": "Annex I to Directive 2002/32/EC is amended as follows:\n1.. Row 1, Arsenic, is replaced by the following:\nThe maximum levels refer to total arsenic.\nMaximum levels refer to an analytical determination of arsenic, whereby extraction is performed in nitric acid (5 % w/w) for 30 minutes at boiling temperature. Equivalent extraction procedures can be applied for which it can be demonstrated that the used extraction procedure has an equal extraction efficiency.\nUpon request of the competent authorities, the responsible operator must perform an analysis to demonstrate that the content of inorganic arsenic is lower than 2 ppm. This analysis is of particular importance for the seaweed species Hizikia fusiforme.’\nUndesirable substances\nProducts intended for animal feed\nMaximum content in mg/kg (ppm) relative to a feedingstuff with a moisture content of 12 %\n(1)\n(2)\n(3)\n‘1.\nArsenic\nFeed materials with the exception of:\n2\n—\nmeal made from grass, from dried lucerne and from dried clover, and dried sugar beet pulp and dried molasses sugar beet pulp,\n4\n—\npalm kernel expeller,\n4\n—\nphosphates and calcareous marine algae,\n10\n—\ncalcium carbonate,\n15\n—\nmagnesium oxide,\n20\n—\nfeedingstuffs obtained from the processing of fish or other marine animals, including fish,\n25\n—\nseaweed meal and feed materials derived from seaweed,\n40\nIron particles used as tracer.\n50\nAdditives belonging to the functional group of compounds of trace elements except:\n30\n—\ncopper sulphate pentahydrate and copper carbonate,\n50\n—\nzinc oxide, manganese oxide and copper oxide,\n100\nComplete feedingstuffs with the exception of:\n2\n—\ncomplete feedingstuffs for fish and complete feedingstuffs for fur animals,\n10\nComplementary feedingstuffs with the exception of:\n4\n—\nmineral feedingstuffs,\n12\n2..
