# Directive 2009/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 relating to common provisions for both measuring instruments and methods of metrological control (Recast) (Text with EEA relevance), Division 1.2: The application shall contain the following information:

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(a) the name and address of the manufacturer or the firm, or of his or its authorised representative or of the applicant;
(b) the category of instrument;
(c) the intended use;
(d) the measurement characteristics;
(e) the commercial designation, if any, or the type.
