# Directive 2009/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 relating to common provisions for both measuring instruments and methods of metrological control (Recast) (Text with EEA relevance), Division 2.3: In particular, when the verification takes place outside the office of verification the metrological service carrying out the verification may require the applicant:

to put at its disposal the standards and the appropriate means in terms of material and assisting personnel for the performance of the verification,
to provide a copy of the EC certificate of approval.
