# Directive 2009/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 May 2009 amending Directive 98/26/EC on settlement finality in payment and securities settlement systems and Directive 2002/47/EC on financial collateral arrangements as regards linked systems and credit claims (Text with EEA relevance), Article 3: Transposition

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

1. Member States shall adopt and publish the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive by 30 December 2010. They shall forthwith inform the Commission thereof.
They shall apply those measures from 30 June 2011.
When Member States adopt those measures, they shall contain a reference to this Directive or shall be accompanied by such reference on the occasion of their official publication. The methods of making such reference shall be laid down by Member States.
2. Member States shall communicate to the Commission the text of the main provisions of national law which they adopt in the field covered by this Directive.
