  "text": "Dogs shall where possible be provided with outside runs. Dogs shall not be single-housed for more than 4 hours at a time.\nThe internal enclosure shall represent at least 50 % of the minimum space to be made available to the dogs, as detailed in Table 4.1.\nThe space allowances detailed below are based on the requirements of beagles, but giant breeds such as St Bernards or Irish wolfhounds shall be provided with allowances significantly in excess of those detailed in Table 4.1. For breeds other than the laboratory beagle, space allowances shall be determined in consultation with veterinary staff.",
