# Commission Directive 2010/80/EU of 22 November 2010 amending Directive 2009/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list of defence-related products (Text with EEA relevance), Division Note 1:: Directed energy weapon systems specified by ML19 include systems whose capability is derived from the controlled application of:

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

a.. ‘Lasers’ of sufficient continuous wave or pulsed power, to effect destruction similar to the manner of conventional ammunition;
b.. Particle accelerators which project a charged or neutral particle beam with destructive power;
c.. High pulsed power or high average power radio frequency beam transmitters, which produce fields sufficiently intense to disable electronic circuitry at a distant target.
