# Directive (EU) 2016/802 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 May 2016 relating to a reduction in the sulphur content of certain liquid fuels (codification), Article 4: Maximum sulphur content in gas oil

Member States shall ensure that gas oils are not used within their territory if their sulphur content exceeds 0,10 % by mass.
