Article 67
Family allowances shall comprise:
household allowance;
dependent child allowances;
education allowance.
Officials in receipt of family allowances specified in this Article shall declare allowances of like nature paid from other sources; such latter allowances shall be deducted from those paid under Articles 1, 2 and 3 of Annex VII.
The dependent child allowance may be doubled, by special reasoned decision of the appointing authority based on medical documents establishing that the child concerned has a disability or a long-term illness which involves the official in heavy expenditure.
F6Where, by virtue of Articles 1, 2 and 3 of Annex VII, such family allowances are paid to a person other than the official, these allowances shall be paid in the currency of the country in which that person is resident, calculated where applicable on the basis of the exchange rates referred to in the second subparagraph of Article 63. They shall be subject to the weighting for the country in question if it is inside the F7Union or to a weighting equal to 100 if the country of residence is outside the Union.
Paragraphs 2 and 3 shall apply where family allowances are paid to such a person.
