  "heading": "After the relevant control programme referred to in Article 5 has been approved, food business operators must have samples taken and analysed to test for the zoonoses and zoonotic agents listed in Annex I, column 1, respecting the minimum sampling requirements set out in the following table.",

Phases of production which sampling must cover\nAll salmonella serotypes with public health significance\nBreeding flocks of Gallus gallus:\n—\nrearing flocks\n—\nday-old chicks\n—\nfour-week-old birds\n—\ntwo weeks before moving to laying phase or laying unit\n—\nadult breeding flocks\n—\nevery second week during the laying period\nAll salmonella serotypes with public health significance\nLaying hens:\n—\nrearing flocks\n—\nday-old chicks\n—\npullets two weeks before moving to laying phase or laying unit\n—\nlaying flocks\n—\nevery 15 weeks during the laying phase\nAll salmonella serotypes with public health significance\nBroilers\n—\nbirds leaving for slaughter\nAll salmonella serotypes with public health significance\nTurkeys\n—\nbirds leaving for slaughter\nAll salmonella serotypes with public health significance\nHerds of pigs:\n—\nbreeding pigs\n—\nanimals leaving for slaughter or carcases at the slaughterhouse\n—\nslaughter pigs\n—\nanimals leaving for slaughter or carcases at the slaughterhouse",
