  "text": "Commission Regulation (EC) No 1489/2004\nof 20 August 2004\namending Council Regulation (EC) No 234/2004 concerning certain restrictive measures in respect of Liberia and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1030/2003\nTHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,\nHaving regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 234/2004 of 10 February 2004 concerning certain restrictive measures in respect of Liberia and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1030/2003, and in particular Article 9(a) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nAnnex I to Regulation (EC) No 234/2004 lists the competent authorities to which specific functions related to the implementation of that Regulation are attributed.\n(2)\nOn 1 May 2004, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia acceded to the European Union. The Act of Accession does not make provision for amendment of that Annex.\n(3)\nThe competent authorities of the new Member States countries should, therefore, be included as from 1 May 2004 in that Annex,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:",
