  "text": "Council Regulation (EC) No 2183/2004\nof 6 December 2004\nextending to the non-participating Member States the application of Regulation (EC) No 2182/2004 concerning medals and tokens similar to euro coins\nTHE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 308 thereof,\nHaving regard to the proposal from the Commission,\nHaving regard to the opinion of the European Parliament,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nWhen it adopted Regulation (EC) No 2182/2004 the Council indicated that the Regulation should apply in the participating Member States as defined in Council Regulation (EC) No 974/98 of 3 May 1998 on the introduction of the euro.\n(2)\nHowever, it is important that the rules concerning medals and tokens similar to euro coins should be uniform throughout the Community, and the requisite provisions should be adopted to that end,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:",
