# Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin, Division 14

When the mark is applied directly to products of animal origin, the colours used must be authorised in accordance with applicable legislation in force in the relevant constituent territory of Great Britain on the use of colouring substances in foodstuffs.
