The fishing opportunities set out in the Protocol shall be allocated among the Member States as follows:\n(a) demersal species:\nSpain: 1 300 GT (gross tonnage) per month, averaged over the year;\n(b) tuna fishing vessels:\n(i) tuna seiners:\nFrance: 17 vessels,\nSpain: 17 vessels;\n(ii) surface longliners:\nSpain: 6 vessels,\nPortugal: 5 vessels;\n(iii) pole-and-line tuna vessels:\nFrance: 3 vessels.\n2. If licence applications from these Member States do not exhaust the fishing opportunities set out in the Protocol, the Commission may consider licence applications from any other Member State.",
