  "text": "Commission Regulation (EC) No 1255/2006\nof 21 August 2006\namending Regulation (EC) No 1431/94 laying down detailed rules for the application in the poultrymeat sector of the import arrangements provided for in Council Regulation (EC) No 774/94 opening and providing for the administration of certain Community tariff quotas for poultrymeat and certain other agricultural products\nTHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,\nHaving regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2777/75 of 29 October 1975 on the common organisation of the market in poultrymeat, and in particular Article 3(2) and Article 6(1) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nCommission Regulation (EC) No 1431/94 provides for the opening and administration, on a multi-annual basis, of a number of import quotas of poultrymeat.\n(2)\nThe Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters between the European Community and the United States of America under Article XXIV:6 and Article XXVIII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994, approved by Council Decision 2006/333/EC, provides for an increase of the annual import tariff quota of poultrymeat, erga omnes, of 2 485 tonnes for certain frozen turkey cuts.\n(3)\nIn view of the possible accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union as from 1 January 2007, it is advisable to provide for a different period for lodging the licence applications for the first quarter of the year 2007.\n(4)\nRegulation (EC) No 1431/94 should be amended accordingly.\n(5)\nThe measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Poultrymeat and Eggs,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:",
