  "text": "Commission Regulation (EC) No 1474/2006\nof 5 October 2006\namending Regulations (EC) No 2771/1999 and (EC) No 1898/2005 as regards the entry into storage of intervention butter put on sale\nTHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,\nHaving regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 1255/1999 of 17 May 1999 on the common organisation of the market in milk and milk products, and in particular Article 10 thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nArticle 21 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 2771/1999 of 16 December 1999 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 1255/1999 as regards intervention on the market in butter and cream lays down that intervention butter placed on sale must have entered into storage before 1 January 2005.\n(2)\nArticle 1(a) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1898/2005 of 9 November 2005 laying down detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 1255/1999 as regards measures for the disposal of cream, butter and concentrated butter on the Community market lays down that intervention butter bought in under Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1255/1999 to be sold at reduced prices must have been taken into storage before 1 January 2005.\n(3)\nGiven the situation on the butter market and the quantities of butter in intervention storage it is appropriate that butter in storage before 1 January 2006 should be available for sale.\n(4)\nRegulations (EC) No 2771/1999 and (EC) No 1898/2005 should therefore be amended accordingly.\n(5)\nThe measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Milk and Milk Products,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:",
