# Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 of the european parliament and of the council of 20 December 2006 on nutrition and health claims made on foods, Article 12: Restrictions on the use of certain health claims

The following health claims shall not be allowed:
(a) claims which suggest that health could be affected by not consuming the food;
(b) claims which make reference to the rate or amount of weight loss;
(c) claims which make reference to recommendations of individual doctors or health professionals and associations other than national associations of medical, nutrition or dietetic professionals and health-related charities.
