# Regulation (EC) No 1987/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on the establishment, operation and use of the second generation Schengen Information System (SIS II), Article 23: Requirement for an alert to be entered

1. An alert may not be entered without the data referred to in Article 20(2)(a), (d), (k) and (l).
2. When available, all other data listed in Article 20(2) shall also be entered.
