# Council Regulation (EC) No 51/2006 of 22 December 2005 fixing for 2006 the fishing opportunities and associated conditions for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks, applicable in Community waters and, for Community vessels, in waters where catch limitations are required, Article 40: Prohibitions and catch limitations

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

1. Direct fishing of the species set out in Annex XIII shall be prohibited in the zones and during the periods set out in that Annex.
2. For new and exploratory fisheries, the catch and by-catch limits set out in Annex XIV shall apply in the Subareas set out in that Annex.
