# Council Regulation (EC) No 51/2006 of 22 December 2005 fixing for 2006 the fishing opportunities and associated conditions for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks, applicable in Community waters and, for Community vessels, in waters where catch limitations are required, Article 51: Entry into force

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply from 1 January 2006.
Where the TACs of the CCAMLR area are set for periods starting before 1 January 2006, Article 40 shall apply with effect from the beginning of the respective periods of application of the TACs.
