Article 3 Scope

The Agency shall carry out its tasks for the purpose of meeting the objective set in Article 2 within the competencies of the Community as laid down in the Treaty establishing the European Community.
2.
The Agency shall refer in carrying out its tasks to fundamental rights as defined in Article 6(2) of the Treaty on European Union.
3.
The Agency shall deal with fundamental-rights issues in the European Union and in its Member States when implementing Community law.
