amending Regulation (EC) No 817/2006 renewing the restrictive measures in respect of Burma/Myanmar and repealing Regulation (EC) No 798/2004
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 817/2006 of 29 May 2006 concerning certain restrictive measures in respect of Burma/Myanmar, and in particular Article 12(b) thereof,
Whereas:
(1)
Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 817/2006 lists the persons covered by the freezing of funds and economic resources set out in Article 6 of that Regulation.
(2)
Council Decision 2007/248/CFSP amends Annex I to Common Position 2006/318/CFSP. Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 817/2006 should, therefore, be amended accordingly.
(3)
In order to ensure that the measures provided for in this Regulation are effective, this Regulation should enter into force immediately,
