Article 56 Closure of a programme

A programme is closed when all the contracts and grants funded by this programme have been closed.

After a final payment application has been received, a contract or grant is considered closed as soon as one of the events referred to in Article 47(1) occurs.

The closure of a contract or grant does not prejudice the Commission's right to undertake a financial correction at a later stage.
