# Commission Regulation (EC) No 1024/2008 of 17 October 2008 laying down detailed measures for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 2173/2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community, Article 14

1. The competent authority may use electronic systems for the exchange and recording of data contained in licences.
2. The electronic systems referred to in paragraph 1 must provide for the exchange of data between—
(a) the competent authority and the customs authorities; and
(b) the competent authority and the customs authorities on the one hand and the licensing authority of any partner country on the other.
