"text": "Commission Regulation (EC) No 392/2008\nof 30 April 2008\napproving minor amendments to the specification for a name entered in the register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications (Ternasco de Aragón (PGI))\nTHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,\nHaving regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,\nHaving regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 510/2006 of 20 March 2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs, and in particular the second sentence of Article 9(2) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nIn accordance with the first subparagraph of Article 9(1) and Article 17(2) of Regulation (EC) No 510/2006, the Commission has examined the application from Spain for approval of an amendment to the specification for the protected geographical indication ‘Ternasco de Aragón’ registered by Commission Regulation (EC) No 1107/96.\n(2)\nThe purpose of this application is to amend the specification concerning the description of the product by increasing the carcase weight range of ‘Ternasco de Aragón’ from 8,5-11,5 kg to 8-12,5 kg. The reference to live weight at slaughter has also been deleted since this quality parameter duplicates the checked measurement of the carcase weight.\n(3)\nThe Commission has examined the amendment in question and decided that it is justified. Since this is a minor amendment within the meaning of Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No 510/2006, the Commission may adopt it without using the procedure set out in Articles 5, 6 and 7 of that Regulation,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:",
