  4. 4In the compartment, the surveillance plan under the responsibility of the compartment manager shall include continuous active surveillance that shall be carried out on 20 blood samples taken at random from poultry, or other captive birds, of the same production unit for serological testing for avian influenza:
  5. 5The early warning system provided for in Article 5(2)(a) must be based upon a written protocol which specifies the reporting procedures.
