# Council Regulation (EC) No 723/2009 of 25 June 2009 on the Community legal framework for a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC), Article 2: Definitions

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

For the purpose of this Regulation, the following definitions shall apply:
(a)“Continuing ERIC Regulation” means Council Regulation (EC) No. 723/2009 as it applies in the European Union;
(b)“ERIC” means a European Research Infrastructure Consortium set up under the Continuing ERIC Regulation.
