# Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 404/2011 of 8 April 2011 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009 establishing a Community control system for ensuring compliance with the rules of the Common Fisheries Policy, Article 38: Return messages

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

1. Return messages shall be issued to the United Kingdom fishing vessels for each transmission of fishing logbook, transhipment, prior notification and landing data. The return message shall contain an acknowledgement of receipt.
2. The master of a United Kingdom fishing vessel shall retain the return message until the end of the fishing trip.
