# Commission Regulation (EU) No 458/2011 of 12 May 2011 concerning type-approval requirements for motor vehicles and their trailers with regard to the installation of their tyres and implementing Regulation (EC) No 661/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning type-approval requirements for the general safety of motor vehicles, their trailers and systems, components and separate technical units intended therefor (Text with EEA relevance), Division 4.1.2

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

In the case of a tyre of class C2 or C3, the speed category symbol shall be compatible with the maximum vehicle design speed and the applicable load/speed combination derived from the ‘table load-capacity variation with speed’ as described in paragraph 3.2.2 of this Annex.
