  "text": "1. With effect from 1 September 2018, the approval authority shall refuse, on grounds relating to emissions, to grant GB type-approval ... in respect of new types of vehicles or engines tested using procedures which do not comply with points 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2.2 and 4.3.1.2 and 4.3.1.2.1 and 4.3.1.2.2 of Appendix 1 to Annex II.\n2. With effect from 1 September 2019, the Secretary of State shall, in the case of new vehicles which do not comply with points 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2.2 and 4.3.1.2 and 4.3.1.2.1 and 4.3.1.2.2 of Appendix 1 to Annex II, consider certificates of conformity issued in respect of those vehicles to be no longer valid for the purposes of Article 48 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858 and shall, on grounds relating to emissions, prohibit the registration, sale and entry into service of such vehicles.\nWith effect from 1 September 2019 and except in the case of replacement engines for in-service vehicles, the Secretary of State shall prohibit the sale or use of new engines which do not comply with points 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.2.1 and 4.3.1.2 and 4.3.1.2.1 of Appendix 1 to Annex II.",
