  "heading": "Eligibility criteria",
  "text": "1. The minimum reduction to be achieved in accordance with Article 8(2) by the innovative technology shall be:\n(a) 1 g CO 2 /km in the case of applications made by reference to Article 2(3)(a);\n(b) 0,5 g CO 2 /km in the case of applications made by reference to Article 2(3)(b).\n2. Where the total savings of an innovative technology do not include any savings demonstrated under the standard test procedure in accordance with Article 8(2), the innovative technology shall be considered not to be covered by the standard test procedure.\n3. The technical description of the innovative technology referred to in point (b) of Article 4(2) shall provide the necessary details for demonstrating that the CO2 reducing performance of the technology is not dependant on settings or choices that are outside the control of the applicant.\nWhere the description is based on assumptions, those assumptions shall be verifiable and based on strong and independent statistical evidence supporting them and their applicability across the United Kingdom.",
