  "text": "1. The Schengen Information System (SIS), set up pursuant to the provisions of Title IV of the Schengen Convention (SIS 1+), shall be replaced by a new system, the Schengen Information System II (SIS II), the establishment, operation and use of which is regulated by Decision 2007/533/JHA.\n2. In accordance with the procedures and the division of tasks set out in this Regulation, SIS II shall be developed by the Commission and the Member States as a single integrated system and shall be prepared for operations.\n3. The development of SIS II may be achieved by implementing an alternative technical scenario characterised by its own technical specifications.",
