  "text": "Annexes I and XII to Regulation (EC) No 692/2008 are amended as follows:\n(1) in Appendix 3 of Annex I, the following points 2.17, 2.17.1 and 2.17.2 are inserted:\n‘2.17.\nVehicle submitted to multi-stage type-approval (only in the case of incomplete or completed vehicles of category N1 within the scope of Regulation (EC) No 715/2007): yes/no (1)\n2.17.1.\nMass of the base vehicle in running order: … kg\n2.17.2.\nDefault added mass, calculated in accordance with Section 5 of Annex XII to Regulation (EC) No 692/2008: … kg’\n(2) in Annex XII, the following Section 5 is added:\n‘5.\nDETERMINATION OF CO2 EMISSIONS AND FUEL CONSUMPTION FROM N1 VEHICLES SUBMITTED TO MULTI-STAGE TYPE-APPROVAL\n5.1.\nFor the purpose of determining the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of a vehicle submitted to multi-stage type-approval, as defined in Article 3(7) of Directive 2007/46/EC, the base vehicle, as defined in Article 3(18) of that Directive, shall be tested in accordance with points 2 and 3 of this Annex.\n5.2.\nThe reference mass to be used for the testing shall be the one resulting from the following formula:\nRM = RM Base_Vehicle + DAM\nIn this formula:\nRM reference mass to be used for the testing in kg\nRM Base_Vehicle reference mass of the base vehicle, as defined in Article 3(3) of Regulation (EC) No 715/2007, in kg\nDAM default added mass, calculated in accordance with the formula set out in point 5.3, corresponding to the estimated weight of the bodywork fitted to the base vehicle, in kg.\n5.3.\nThe default added mass shall be calculated according to the following formula:\nDAM: a × TPMLM – RM Base_Vehicle\nIn this formula:\nDAM default added mass in kg\na multiplying factor, calculated in accordance with the formula set out in point 5.4\nTPMLM technically permissible maximum laden mass, stated by the manufacturer of the base vehicle, in kg\nRM Base_Vehicle reference mass of the base vehicle, as defined in Article 3(3) of Regulation (EC) No 715/2007, in kg.\n5.4.\nThe multiplying factor shall be calculated according to the following formula:\na = 3,162.·10 – 7 RM 2 Base_vehicle – 5,823396·10 – 4 RM Base_vehicle + 0,4284491516\nIn this formula:\na multiplying factor\nRM Base_Vehicle reference mass of the base vehicle, as defined in Article 3(3) of Regulation (EC) No 715/2007, in kg.\n5.5.\nThe manufacturer of the base vehicle is responsible for the correct application of the requirements laid down in points 5.1 to 5.4.\n5.6.\nThe manufacturer of the completed vehicle shall include, in the certificate of conformity, the information concerning the base vehicle, in accordance with Annex IX to Directive 2007/46/EC.\n5.7.\nIn the case of vehicles submitted to individual vehicle approval, the individual approval certificate shall include the following information:\n(a) the CO2 emissions measured according to the methodology set out in points 5.1 to 5.4;\n(b) the mass of the completed vehicle in running order;\n(c) the identification code corresponding to the type, variant and version of the base vehicle;\n(d) the type-approval number of the base vehicle, including the extension number;\n(e) the name and address of the manufacturer of the base vehicle;\n(f) the mass of the base vehicle in running order.\n5.8.\nThe procedure set out in points 5.1 to 5.7 shall apply to base vehicles of category N1, as defined in point 1.2.1 of Part A of Annex II to Directive 2007/46/EC, included in the scope of Regulation (EC) No 715/2007.’.",
