Article 22 Cooperation and coordination

F1The appropriate authority shall, when complying with F2its obligations under this Regulation, make every effort to ensure close coordination with F3other countries concerned and, where practical and appropriate, use existing structures arising from regional or international agreements. F4In particular the appropriate authority concerned shall endeavour to ensure coordination with other countries that share:

(a)

the same marine subregions F5specified in Article 4(2) of Directive 2008/56/EC, regarding marine species;

(b)

the same biogeographical region F6specified in point (iii) of point (c) of Article 1 of Directive 92/43/EEC, regarding non-marine species;
