Article 1 Subject matter

This Regulation establishes the administrative and technical requirements for the F1GB type-approval of all new vehicles of the categories referred to in Article 2 with regard to their sound level, and of replacement silencing systems and components thereof type-approved as separate technical units designed and constructed for vehicles of categories M₁ and N₁ with a view to facilitating their registration, sale and entry into service within F2Great Britain.
