Article 3 Competent authorities
United Kingdom
F1Where an airport is located in Great Britain, the Secretary of State, or in Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Department for Infrastructure, shall designate one or more competent authorities responsible for the process to be followed when adopting operating restrictions.
The competent authorities shall be independent of any organisation which could be affected by noise-related action. That independence may be achieved through a functional separation.
