Article 6 Processing operations outside mountain areas
United Kingdom
By way of derogation from Article 31(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 and Article 1(1) and (2) of this Regulation, the following processing operations may take place outside mountain areas, provided that the distance from the mountain area in question does not exceed 30 km:
processing operations for the production of milk and milk products in processing facilities in place on 3 January 2013;
slaughtering of animals and cutting and deboning of carcasses;
pressing of olive oil.
