"text": "From 1 July 2016, the following product information on process chillers shall be provided:\n(a) the instruction manuals for installers and end-users, and free access websites of manufacturers, their authorised representatives and importers, shall contain the following elements:\n(i) intended operating temperature, expressed in degrees Celsius (medium temperature – 8 °C, low temperature – 25 °C);\n(ii) the type of process chiller, either air-cooled or water-cooled;\n(iii) the rated cooling capacity, rated power input, expressed in kW and rounded to two decimal places;\n(iv) the rated energy efficiency ratio (EERA ), rounded to two decimal places;\n(v) declared cooling capacity and declared power input at rating points B, C and D, expressed in kW and rounded to two decimal places;\n(vi) declared EER at rating points B, C, and D, rounded to two decimal places;\n(vii) the SEPR value, rounded to two decimal places;\n(viii) the annual electricity consumption, in kWh per year;\n(ix) type(s) and name(s) of refrigerant fluid(s) intended to be used with the process chiller;\n(x) any specific precautions that are to be taken when the process chiller is maintained;\n(xi) information relevant for recycling or disposal at end-of-life;\n(b) a section of the free access websites of manufacturers for installers and other professionals, their authorised representatives, or importers shall be provided, containing information relevant for:\n(i) installation in order to optimise energy efficiency of the appliances;\n(ii) non-destructive disassembly for maintenance purposes;\n(iii) disassembly and dismantling for disposal at end-of life;\n(c) the technical documentation for the purposes of conformity assessment pursuant to Article 4 shall contain the following elements:\n(i) the elements specified in point (a);\n(ii) where the information relating to a specific model has been obtained by calculation on the basis of design or extrapolation from other combinations, the details of such calculations or extrapolations, and of any tests undertaken to verify the accuracy of the calculations, including details of the mathematical model for calculating the performance of such combinations and details of the measurements taken to verify that model.\nTable 7\nInformation requirements for process chillers\nIf Cc is not determined by measurement then the default degradation coefficient shall be Cc = 0,9. Where the default Cc value is chosen, then results from cycling tests shall not be required. Otherwise, the cooling cycling test value shall be required.\nFor staged capacity units, two values divided by a slash (‘/’) shall be declared in each box in the section referring to ‘cooling capacity’ and ‘EER’.\nFor process chillers intended to operate at only one operating temperature, one of the two columns related to ‘Value’ can be deleted.\nModel(s): [information identifying the model(s) to which the information relates]\nType of condensing: [air-cooled/water-cooled]\nRefrigerant fluid(s): [information identifying the refrigerant fluid(s) intended to be used with the process chiller]\nItem\nSymbol\nValue\nUnit\nOperating temperature\nt\n– 8 °C\n– 25 °C\n°C\nSeasonal Energy Performance Ratio\nSEPR\nx,xx\nx,xx\nAnnual electricity consumption\nQ\nx\nx\nkWh/a\nParameters at full load and reference ambient temperature (point (A)\nRated cooling capacity\nPA\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nRated power input\nDA\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nRated EER\nEERA\nx,xx\nx,xx\nParameters at rating point B\nDeclared cooling capacity\nPB\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nDeclared power input\nDB\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nDeclared EER\nEERB\nx,xx\nx,xx\nParameters at rating point C\nDeclared cooling capacity\nPc\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nDeclared power input\nDc\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nDeclared EER\nEERC\nx,xx\nx,xx\nParameters at rating point D\nDeclared cooling capacity\nPD\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nDeclared power input\nDD\nx,xx\nx,xx\nkW\nDeclared EER\nEERD\nx,xx\nx,xx\nOther items\nCapacity control\nfixed/staged/variable\nDegradation coefficient for fixed and staged capacity units\nCc\nx,xx\nx,xx\nContact details\nName and address of the manufacturer or its authorised representative.",
