Division 5 CALCULATION OF GROSS CALORIFIC VALUE

The gross calorific value (GCV) shall be obtained from the gross calorific value moisture free (GCV_mf ) by applying the following conversion:

GCV = GCV_mf × (1 – M)

where:

1. (a)

   GCV and GCV_mf are expressed in megajoules per kilogram;

2. (b)

   M is the moisture content of the fuel, expressed as a proportion.
