The marks referred to in point 1 must be secured to an engine part that is necessary for normal engine operation and not normally requiring replacement during engine life. Those marks must be located so as to be readily visible to the average person once the engine has been fitted to the agricultural and forestry vehicle, together with all the auxiliaries needed for engine operation. If a bonnet is to be removed in order to make the mark visible, this requirement shall be considered to have been met if removal of that bonnet is simple.
