# Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1447 of 26 August 2016 establishing a network code on requirements for grid connection of high voltage direct current systems and direct current-connected power park modules (Text with EEA relevance), Article 12: Rate-of-change-of-frequency withstand capability

An HVDC system shall be capable of staying connected to the network and operable if the network frequency changes at a rate between – 2.5 and + 2.5 Hz/s (measured at any point in time as an average of the rate of change of frequency for the previous 1 s).
