# Regulation (EU) 2016/1627 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 September 2016 on a multiannual recovery plan for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean, and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 302/2009, Article 5: Prohibition on chartering for bluefin tuna fishing

1. A chartered UK fishing boat must not target bluefin tuna in the ICCAT Convention area.
2. The prohibition in paragraph 1 does not apply in relation to a chartered recreational fishing boat which is used in accordance with any requirements set out in Chapter IV.
