# Regulation (EU) 2016/424 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on cableway installations and repealing Directive 2000/9/EC (Text with EEA relevance), Division 5.2

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

The fittings of vehicles and towing devices shall be dimensioned and constructed so as not to:
damage the cable, or
slip, except where slippage does not significantly affect the safety of the vehicle, the towing device or the installation,
under the most unfavourable conditions.
