# Regulation (EU) 2016/424 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on cableway installations and repealing Directive 2000/9/EC (Text with EEA relevance), Division 5.4

If, for reasons of operational safety, an operator is required on board the vehicle, the vehicle shall be fitted with the equipment required for him to carry out his tasks.
