# Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1005 of 15 June 2017 laying down implementing technical standards with regard to the format and timing of the communications and the publication of the suspension and removal of financial instruments pursuant to Directive 2014/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on markets in financial instruments (Text with EEA relevance), Article 2: Definition of the term ‘trading venue operator’

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

For the purposes of this Regulation, ‘trading venue operator’ means any of the following:
(a) a market operator operating a regulated market, an MTF or an OTF;
(b) an investment firm operating an MTF or an OTF.
