Cooling of the liquid may be produced by an external circuit, such that the pressure loss of this circuit and the pressure at the pump inlet remain substantially the same as those of the engine cooling system.\nThe thermostat may be fixed in the fully open position.\nWhen the cooling fan or blower is fitted for the test, the power absorbed shall be added to the results, except for cooling fans of air cooled engines directly fitted on the crankshaft. The fan or blower power shall be determined at the speeds used for the test either by calculation from standard characteristics or by practical tests.\nCharge air-cooled engines shall be tested with charge air cooling, whether liquid — or air-cooled, but if the manufacturer prefers, a test bench system may replace the air cooler. In either case, the measurement of power at each speed shall be made with the maximum pressure drop and the minimum temperature drop of the engine air across the charge air cooler on the test bench system as those specified by the manufacturer.\nThe power for electrical or other starting systems shall be provided from the test bed.\nNumber\nEquipment and auxiliaries\nFitted for emission test\n1\nInlet system\nInlet manifold\nYes\nCrankcase emission control system\nYes\nAir flow meter\nYes\nAir filter\nYes\nInlet silencer\nYes\n2\nExhaust system\nExhaust after-treatment system\nYes\nExhaust manifold\nYes\nConnecting pipes\nYes\nSilencer\nYes\nTail pipe\nYes\nExhaust brake\nNo\nPressure charging device\nYes\n3\nFuel supply pump\nYes\n4\nFuel injection equipment\nPrefilter\nYes\nFilter\nYes\nPump\nYes\n5\nHigh-pressure pipe\nYes\nInjector\nYes\nElectronic control unit, sensors, etc.\nYes\nGovernor/control system\nYes\nAutomatic full-load stop for the control rack depending on atmospheric conditions\nYes\n6\nLiquid-cooling equipment\nRadiator\nNo\nFan\nNo\nFan cowl\nNo\nWater pump\nYes\nThermostat\nYes\n7\nAir cooling\nCowl\nNo\nFan or Blower\nNo\nTemperature-regulating device\nNo\n8\nPressure charging equipment\nCompressor driven either directly by the engine and/or by the exhaust system\nYes\nCharge air cooler\nYes\nCoolant pump or fan (engine-driven)\nNo\nCoolant flow control device\nYes\n9\nAuxiliary test-bed fan\nYes, if necessary\n10\nAnti-pollution device\nYes\n11\nStarting equipment\nYes or test bed equipment\n12\nLubricating oil pump\nYes\n13\nCertain auxiliaries whose definition is linked with the operation of the non-road mobile machinery and which may be mounted on the engine shall be removed for the test.\nThe following non-exhaustive list is given as an example:\n(i) air compressor for brakes\n(ii) power steering compressor\n(iii) suspension compressor\n(iv) air-conditioning system.\nNo",
