  "heading": "Definitions",
  "text": "For the purposes of this Regulation, the following definitions shall apply:\n(1)‘reference species/food commodity/tissue’ means a species/food commodity/tissue in which MRLs based on appropriate and complete data has been established;\n(2)‘concerned species/food commodity/tissue’ means a species/food commodity/tissue for which extrapolation is considered;\n(3)‘major species’ means cattle, sheep for meat, pigs, chicken including eggs, and Salmonidae;\n(4)‘minor species’ means any species other than major species;\n(5)‘related species’ means species belonging to the same category of food producing species of ruminants, monogastrics, mammals, birds or fish;\n(6)‘unrelated species’ means species belonging to different categories of food producing species.\n(7)‘appropriate authority’ is to be read in accordance with Article 3(2) and (3).",
