  "text": "Annex IV is amended as follows:\n(1) in point 147.A.145, point (a) is replaced by the following:\n‘(a)\nThe maintenance training organisation may carry out the following as permitted by and in accordance with the maintenance training organisation exposition:\n(i) basic training courses to the Annex III (Part-66) syllabus, or part thereof;\n(ii) aircraft type/task training courses in accordance with Annex III (Part-66);\n(iii) the examination of students who attended the basic or aircraft type training course at the maintenance training organisation;\n(iv) the examination of students who did not attend the aircraft type training course at the maintenance training organisation;\n(v) the examination of students who did not attend the basic training course at the maintenance training organisation, provided that:\n(1) the examination is conducted at one of the locations identified in the approval certificate, or\n(2) if performed at locations not identified in the approval certificate, as permitted by points (b) and (c), either\nthe examination is provided through a European Central Question Bank (ECQB), or\nin the absence of an ECQB, the competent authority selects the questions for the examination;\n(vi) the issue of certificates in accordance with Appendix III following successful completion of the approved basic or aircraft type training courses and examinations specified in points (a)(i), (a)(ii), (a)(iii), (a)(iv) and (a)(v), as applicable.’;\n(2) Appendixes I and II are replaced by the following:\n‘Appendix I\nBasic training course duration\nThe minimum duration of a complete basic training course shall be as follows:\nThis number of hours shall be increased as follows, depending on the additional system ratings selected:\nSystem Rating\nDuration (in hours)\nTheoretical Training Ratio (in %)\nCOM/NAV\n90\n50–60\nINSTRUMENTS\n55\nAUTOFLIGHT\n80\nSURVEILLANCE\n40\nAIRFRAME SYSTEMS\n100\nBasic Course\nDuration (in hours)\nTheoretical Training Ratio (in %)\nA1\n800\n30–35\nA2\n650\n30–35\nA3\n800\n30–35\nA4\n800\n30–35\nB1.1\n2 400\n50–60\nB1.2\n2 000\n50–60\nB1.3\n2 400\n50–60\nB1.4\n2 400\n50–60\nB2\n2 400\n50–60\nB2L\n1 500\n50–60\nB3\n1 000\n50–60\nAppendix II\nMaintenance Training Organisation Approval referred to in Annex IV (Part-147) — EASA Form 11\n;’;\n(3) the EASA Form 149 Issue 2 contained in Appendix III is replaced by the following:",
