In the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 231/2012, the entry for food additive E 460(i) microcrystalline cellulose as regards its solubility is replaced by the following:

SolubilityInsoluble in water, ethanol, ether and dilute mineral acids. Practically insoluble or insoluble in sodium hydroxide solution (concentration: 50 g NaOH/L).
